Visit to Kelly House, Beveridge

The Council has completed the restoration works to the Kelly House at Beveridge. It is not usually open to the public at this stage, but our member Liz Dillon-Hensby has organised a tour primarily for U3A and KHS members.

The plan is to meet at the Kelly House at 11am (or KHS rooms at the Old Post Office in Powlett Street at 10:30 for car pooling) and follow this with lunch at the Hunter’s Tryst in Beveridge at 12 noon. The visit is scheduled for 4 Dec 2023.

Please contact us either at kilmorehistoricalsociety@gmail.com or in person if you would be interested in seeing this legendary historical property.

Good evening, I am not a member of the KHS but have a great admiration for Ned Kelly and his associated history. I would be honoured to be able to visit his childhood home if that is at all possible. I have driven past it and taken many photo’s in the past and have watched with great interest, the renovation works as they progressed. Please consider me and my young sons in your decision to allow some people to visit and soak in some of the history of the place on our doorstep. Thank and Regards

    1. Hi Anthony – thank you for contacting us. I am one of our Society’s researchers. KHS is not involved with the Kelly house. The renovations were completed a few months ago. The property is privately owned and is not open to visitors and we have not heard what are the owner’s intention.

      Sorry we could not help
