The Royal Historical Society of Victoria has circulated a warning to all Historical Societies about a scam currently circulating. The warning sign is that a payment will be requested in the form of a gift card.

Please note that no reputable organisation will ever ask for payment via gift card. You are almost certain to receive nothing in return if you send a gift card. If you receive such a request, ignore it!
