April Meeting 1st April

Our next evening meeting with a guest speaker will be held on the 1st of April, when we will be hearing from Michael Hudson.

Mr Hudson is a professional geologist, explorationist and entrepreneur with over 30 year’s experience in the field. He is also chief executive of Southern Cross Gold, the exploratory company which has been working the old Sunday Creek mining site at Clonbinane.

He is also the grandson of the well-known local identity George Hudson, the long-term stock agent.

He feels that the preliminary results suggest that the economic prospects are looking good for both Southern Cross and for the district. There are of course still regulatory hurdles to jump before this can happen. In the meantime Michael is keen on keeping the community involved.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 at the Old Post Office, 2 Powlett Street, and as usual will be followed by supper and a chance to mingle.
