Our October guest speaker will be Rod Noonan, who will be speaking on the Red Lion Hotel.
The Red Lion is one of Kilmore’s most historic and recognisable buildings. It has been associated with many of Kilmore’s most significant historical moments.
Rod’s interest in the hotel comes from his family history with the building. His family owned the hotel, and he grew up with an awareness of the building and its significance.
This talk is well timed, as it looks as if the Red Lion will finally be reopening soon, after sitting derelict and unused for several years.
This meeting will be held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday October 1st, at the Old Post Office, 2 Powlett Street, and will be followed by supper and a chance to mingle.
