This photograph of a group of people is in the Society’s collection. There is a name of the back of the picture – A.G. Portbury – who is known to have been Kilmore based, so the assumption is that the picture was taken locally.
The dress of the participants suggests a date of the years immediately before the First World War.
The setting cannot be identified as Kilmore. The curved creek suggests it may have been taken on the ‘Island’ at Broadford, but this not conclusive.
