Our next General Meeting with a guest speaker will be held on Tuesday 6 April at 7:30 pm, at the Old Kilmore Post Office at 2 Powlett Street.

The Broadford Historical Society will be presenting, with the aid of a DVD titled “A History of the Broadford Paper Mill”, which will be shown. Produced by Graham Neill for the Broadford & District Historical Society it received a Commendation at the Victorian Community History Awards.

The Mill was founded in 1890 and was the only strawboard mill in the British Empire. The DVD contains both video and photographic images tracing the history of the mill over the years.
